The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Training & Development Manager to join the Envision AESC UK team. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large-scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

The Training & Development Manager is a newly created role reporting into the Senior HR Manager. This role will see you leading, developing and managing the organisational development strategies and activities across the business, whilst building relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Outline and Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise, engage and influence key stakeholders to develop and implement a learning strategy/training plans that are aligned with the business objectives and needs
  • Provide an effective, cost efficient T&D service to the business which utilises both internal and external training delivery
  • Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, appraisals and line manager discussion
  • Devise and implement management skills training programmes to suit company requirements
  • Lead the development of programmes including career pathways for employees across the sites, which will include apprentices and graduates
  • Source, evaluate, engage and manage external training contracts/providers ensuring maximum return on investment and thorough evaluation to assess effectiveness and tangible benefits
  • Create and manage a framework for assessing, measuring and tracking the success of learning and development programmes within the company
  • Ensure the continued development of the Company's Induction program in line with business growth – leading in the improvement and evaluation of the Induction content
  • Produce regular reports, using appropriate mechanisms to evidence training statistics/data as required
  • Develop training policies and procedures within the Companies Management Systems framework
  • Maintain a strong understanding of training trends and best practice in organisational development
  • Manage training budget, negotiate contracts involving Purchasing, build and maintain relationships with third party training providers

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in the leading and execution of organisational development programmes
  • Proven ability in the scope and designing of training course content to suit business needs
  • Training/Event coordination experience
  • Experience within a manufacturing working environment desirable
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring desirable
  • Excellent communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive PC skills.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant subject matter, with proven experience in a similar role (essential)
  • A recognised L&D qualification (desirable)
