We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Sales team, with the opportunity to shape the department in order to support the current Battery Plant operation and development of a new world class and innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory.

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

Outline and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster long term joint development partnerships with key automotive company with focus in France & EU Region
  • Execute the commercial strategy and bring the product to automotive applications.
  • Navigating customer organization and build relationship with R&D, development, vehicle, procurement, and leadership level.
  • Align the expectations with customers on the strategic roadmap and technical specifications by closely working with headquarter.
  • Prompt feedback to headquarter on any feedback on the product and execute the mitigation plan quickly to close the gap.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationship, to build the relationship and when encounters issues (e.g. with supply).
  • Frequent visit to customer site and build long standing credibility and trust
  • Bring customer insights and share with R&D and leadership team to drive product innovation
Qualifications and Skills
  • Seasoned hands-on sales experience with world leading automotive / battery companies required
  • Existing strong relationship with key decision makers in product development with leading automotive market.
  • Technical background in battery cell development preferred.
  • Track record of success in managing key automotive accounts, growing businesses, or closing deals.
  • Business Development / product development experience with joint development partners strongly preferred
  • Entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred
  • Eager to learn, adapt and contribute to challenging situations
  • Results-oriented, creative, and resourceful, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and solve problems while maintaining attention to detail within budget and deadlines
  • High energy and thrives in a dynamic, distributed environment
  • Masters degree with relevant experience
  • Fluent in French and English
