Based at Douai in Hauts-de-France region, the Safety Specialist is in charge of the company’s safety policy. It creates and coordinates the Safety management system. You will work to obtain and maintain ISO 45001 certifications and above all seeks to improve the company’s safety people and property conditions. You are also responsible for managing training program and preventing the associated risks. You will monitors compliance with regulatory requirements and applications for inside/outside stakeholders, CSSCT, Work Inspectors, CARAST.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ISO 45001 security management system.
  • Define, maintain and test the IOP ( Internal Organization Plan)
  • Support the operational team in the deployment of security standards and regulations.
  • Define the roadmap and security objectives
  • Identify gaps, improvements and define the actions to be deployed
  • Monitor security key performance indicators in accordance with overall company objectives and local objectives.
  • Check the site’s compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct and monitor security audits and inspections
  • Point of contact during external audits
  • Organize safety meetings and trainings.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and routines.
  • Organize safety initiations and training.
  • Monitoring of site risk assessments.
  • Security event monitoring
  • Participate in investigations and define corrective/preventive measures.
  • Carry out trends and analyses
  • Develop instructions, procedures, records, and communications.
  • Define the emergency response organization and plan exercises.
  • Participate in meetings of local staff representatives (CSSCT)
  • Safety representative person in the change process

 

Background and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related environment discipline
  • An in-depth understanding of ICPE regulation and French administration. Experience in safety management system
  • ISO450001/SEIRICH
  • Chemical risk knowledge is a plus.
  • STOP, Safety Total Observation Program experience as trainer is a plus.
  • Mobility management.
  • Three or more years of directly related professional-level Engineering experience.
  • Ability to travel
  • Fluent in French and English
