The Global Manager, Reliability Engineering is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for preventative and corrective maintenance while integrating condition-based maintenance monitoring techniques on highly automated equipment from very discrete components to system wide devices. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Global Maintenance ‘Centre of Excellence’ (COE).

This role requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop infrastructure to monitor and analyze equipment data for proactive maintenance activities
  • Established spare parts strategies that support all regions
  • Develop and integrate infrastructure to support global CMMS
  • Development of global engineering standards and PM program
  • Develop a global team to support RCM functions at all regional facilities.
  • Work with Global Manager – Maintenance Standardization and AIOT managers to develop global proactive maintenance programs, reporting, and training
  • Develop metrics for reporting equipment maintenance performance via AIOT
  • Development of maintenance and reliability engineering best practices and standards
  • Established global spare parts strategies that support all regions
  • Support regional maintenance engineering teams in major projects for execution to schedule and support of global standardization
  • Develop global CMMS system and integrate with global nonproduction spares strategy
  • Developer and Coordinator for Reliability Engineering Team
  • Improves Plant to Plant benchmarking and standardization
  • Develop relationship with regional reliability engineering through chairing weekly/monthly meetings
  • Support development of a global M-ECL (Maintenance – Engineering Career Ladder)
  • Manages a global team of Engineers – provides leadership, coaching, guidance, training, along with staff development
  • Ensures alignment of reliability engineering systems with Global KPI’s and industry standards (ISO, IATF, VDA, etc.)
  • Serves a major role in the launch of new plants by initial establishment of engineering principles and practices.
  • Ensures success of new launches through on-site global engineering support and training.
     

Background & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in ME, EE, or CSE.
  • 10 years engineering experience with 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Ability to assemble and repair complex machinery
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints for machined parts and equipment
  • Demonstrated experience with automotive style manufacturing automation
  • Demonstrated experience with condition-based monitoring
  • Experience in developing live monitoring systems for equipment maintenance
  • Experience with CMMS
  • Proficient with SQL, C#.net, and data analytics
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English. French and Spanish would be an advantage.
