Purpose

Neoen is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager, who will be responsible for construction management of renewable energy projects throughout the Nordics.

An ideal candidate will have experience of managing EPC contracts, proven expertise in HSE and construction management and ability to manage local operational constraints.

The position is based in Helsinki or remote within Finland. The position will report to the Project Manager, and includes permanent interaction with Neoen’s project development teams in the Nordics and frequent trips and stays to construction sites, mainly in Finland and Sweden.

Responsibilities

During the construction phase: 

• Planning and preparation
  • HSE, social & communities plan
  • Site access and traffic management plan
  • EPC logistic plan for equipment and services
  • Reporting & communication
  • Approval procedures
  • QA/QC plan
  • Project controls
  • Documentation management
• Execution 
  • HSE plan enforcement 
  • Site mobilization
  • Detailed design (by EPC)
  • Day to Day construction management (coordination of stakeholders)
  • Management of change (variations, extension of time, claims, permitting)
• Control 
  • HSE and other compliance items
  • Design approvals
  • Quality Control of work achieved (quantity and quality surveys, corrective actions)
  • Time schedule (detailed implementation schedule, critical path, gap analysis, corrective actions)
  • Financials (budget at completion, payment claims)
  • Project reporting

During Commissioning and Project Closing phase:

• • Planning/preparation
    • Testing and commissioning procedures
    • Commissioning test plan (FAT, SAT, practical completion, performance guarantees, final completion)
  • Execution
    • Supervision of EPC’s Commissioning tests
    • Expedition of corrective works
    • Pre-Start up safety tests
  • Control
    • Tests Documentation administration
    • Compliance documentation (HSE O&M plan, as-constructed drawings, construction & operation permitting change)

Background & Requirements

• Industrial Project engineering background (process/civil, mechanical, electrical/utilities, environment)
• Minimum 3 years of experience 
• Project Management control tools (budgeting, cost controls, work progress schedule, QA/QC controls)
• Technical expertise of renewable energy plants and equipment such as wind turbines, solar PV, battery systems d/or associated electrical equipment is seen as a benefit
• Past implementation of HSE and QA/QC procedures during project construction would be appreciated
• Fluency in English and Finnish. Fluency in Swedish would be a plus
