Our client is looking for a Construction Operations Manager to work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, and requirements demand cell production volume at a scale which was once thought to be impossible to reach.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deliver large, design build, and self-performed construction projects
  • Develop and manage a team to execute project scopes including Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Process, Life Safety, Civil, and Architectural work
  • Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of construction projects, enabling your teams to solve problems and prioritize execution
  • Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and company wide
  • Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry
  • Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary
  • Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals
  • Provide the best product for your respective project’s customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise
  • Foster an innovative environment amongst your team’s and those within the EPC group to help AESC succeed in accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy
  • Provide strategic input into the construction organization, setting your teams future up for growth and success

Background & Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Experience working on €100m+ projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must
  • Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, and Architectural, Mechanical, electrical, life safety and controls scopes
  • Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your times through challenging projects
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
  • Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and willingness to continuously learn
  • Capacity to work long hours on demanding projects in a high stress environment
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
