We are looking for a Communications Specialist / PR Manager to join the Envision AESC UK team to improve brand awareness ahead of large-scale recruitment for our new world-class and innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory.  This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large-scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

 

Purpose
Envision AESC is seeking a Communications Specialist & PR Manager to be responsible for building brand awareness through Public Relations and Social Media.  This is a newly created position, reporting to on-site Senior Management, where you will provide strategic and tactical support to the business on both internal and external communications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Write, produce, and edit high-quality communications across all external channels, tailoring content to different audiences as appropriate, including social and digital media
  • Draft press notices, opinion pieces, briefing notes, and reports to high standards and deadlines for traditional media/specialist trade outlets
  • Respond to media enquiries and manage crises
  • Represent the business at relevant public/industry events, including in speaker/participation roles as appropriate
  • Work with internal colleagues, agencies, and partners to source engaging evidence, data and case studies, and other compelling content and commission and produce assets like videos for use across different channels in different markets
  • Work closely within the team to establish and continually update/improve a framework for Envision AESC communications and government engagement, with supporting processes, databases, and shared assets
  • Monitor and manage social media accounts providing editorial input, taking into account market-specific requirements and local business priorities
  • Monitor the political and media landscape to provide regular business updates
  • Develop, co-ordinate and deliver effective employee communications and engagement

 

Background and requirements

  • Minimum three to five years’ of experience within a similar role
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex messages in a clear, concise and engaging way
  • A demonstratable track record of working with traditional media and social media platforms, with a focus on campaigning and delivering change
  • A keen instinct for news and how to find opportunities within the business and sell into media in key markets
  • A proactive approach to engaging with all media, developing media networks, and responding to media inquiries
  • Experience in designing and delivering PR/corporate communications plans, including supporting the development of long-term strategies and tactical opportunities. The ability to travel as and when required
  • Fluency in English
