Purpose
Sympower is now looking for a Business Development Director for the Netherlands. In this position, you will play an important role in Sympower’s international Commercial team, take care of the existing clients and partners as well as establish important relationships with new ones.

Responsibilities
• Searching for new business opportunities and acting as the commercial representative of Sympower in the Netherlands.
• Being responsible for the full sales cycle: from first contact with the counterpartners until the handover to implementation.
• Business development: together with our engineers and analysts, you will set up technical and financial cases for our customers.
• Present Sympower successfully to potential clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Work closely with partners and clients and build strong relationships.
• Prepare a smooth hand-over to implementation engineers.
• Be proactive in new advancements in our industry and advise Sympower on new product development.

Background & Requirements
• Educational background in energy, engineering and/or business.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the energy domain, preferably in the electricity market.
• Strong technical understanding. Prior knowledge in flexibility solutions and/or demand response is an advantage.
• Experience in sales and business development, ideally in consultative selling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Strong people skills & ability to build long-term partnerships.
• Comfortable in an international, fast-paced, scale-up environment.
• A willingness to take initiative and ownership.
